So I'm getting around to backing up my computer I got a few weeks ago, a Lenovo desktop.
Anyway, I mentioned it before and someone said to make sure to create my recovery discs and I'm lucky b/c Lenovo only uses about 2 discs. So I went out and picked up a 5 pack of DVD's. When I started the Lenovo Recovery, it creates a "system image" and it is going to be about 40 gigs. So it's going to be more like 10 discs...? So I looked in windows and found "create recovery disc", so I was thinking maybe this is what I was looking for and it burnt one disc which it looks like nothing but a boot disc....? Am I missing something? All I really want is a Windows recovery disc so I can do a fresh install at some point in the future and the computer did not come with one and I don't see a partition on the drive that would contain anything like that. |

I assume you are doing this after having used the computer for awhile and it has your personal stuff on it? If so thats why the system image will be 40GB. When you do these you need to do them as soon as you get the computer before you make any changes. So i wouldnt really be able to reinstall windows i would just be restorin to the original config? |
