I was watching the show on the Military channel where Archaeologists are digging up WWI trenches Guy found some rounds with the bullets put in backwards. Said they were used to get better results against "Sniper Plates" Why would this be more effective? |
How was accuracy? I remember reading that test, but i forgot if he mentions accuracy. |
Accuracy is not adversly affected...the ogive is a much more uniform exit...the accuracy of a bullet depends on how it exits the muzzle. The crown of the muzzle is VERY important too. Ballistically, it really doesn't affect the flight for the first ~300 yards. Monster boat tail but that only helps at very long range. |
I looked through the box-o-truth tests and could not find anything on this |
I cannot remember if he checked for accuracy or not... Paging Old Painless |
