Fried plantains are very different from bananas. I've only had them in Miami, Jamaica and Belize. I've never tried to make them at home but I ought to.

Plantains are not sweet and I wouldn't recommend eating them raw.





ETA: I fry them up in coconut oil put some cinnamon and sugar on them and then serve them with table cream.
