I completed the House of Hope burglary yesterday. It was fun, but I had to turn off the game music for the last battle. Wow, it is a terribly obnoxious song.

be careful when romancing Karlach as a male, unless you like banjos and squealing like a pig.

Been doing this game by Acts (completing Act 1 with different builds, before moving on to Act 2).
Got a Wizard (Evocation specialist) and a Paladin (Oath of Vengeance),both High Elves, to the end of the Act (clean sweep of every quest except for the Swamp Teahouse and the Githyanki Creche, so I'm about to double back and complete them). Got a tip from Youtube, and managed to equip my Paladin with the flaming greatsword the Cambion on the Nautiloid wields (Shadowheart can use Command to make him drop it). Bit OP for use right out of the gate, but it must be the will of the gods for my Paladin to use this.... |

Just bought BG3 today.
i've played about 30 minutes so far. also pro tip for anyone getting the game on Xbox: do not put this game in Quick Resume, it will delete your save. always save, exit to main menu, and then quit the game manually when you do. other than that, i have definitely enjoyed the little i have played so far. going to play some more tonight and this weekend. |
|
|
1 hour into BG3 on my Xbox and the deleting save bug has rendered my game unplayable.
it was bad enough i lost my save but then i tells me when i try to start a new game that i don't have enough storage space to save the game anymore. in my 35 years of gaming i have never run into a bug this bad. |
|
|
My buddy and I finally finished a coop playthrough on Tactician. What a great game.

I'm finishing up my 3rd solo run. Would love to do a coop play through

I just picked this up because nothing has really grabbed my lately. This is the most in depth RPG I've played and I'm loving it. Doing some co-op with the wife and it's awesome how she can jump in or out any time totally seamlessly and I control her character when she doesn't want to play.

I enjoyed it until the third act. I was trying to complete the Shadowheart story line and got to the House of Pain fight. I just kept hitting my head against a wall even on the lowest difficulty setting. It's insane. So I abandoned the game there and haven't gone back.

Click To View Spoiler ...make them come through a bottleneck, usually a doorway, put down grease, and use either a Cloud of Daggers or Insect Swarm right on the grease. Enemies will often fall down in the AoE and are below half health before we need to attack them directly. Besides being effective, watching enemies fall down in grease is hilarious. Note: if you do this, make sure whoever casts the AoE is out of range of attack so he doesn't have his concentration broken |

My friends and I have been playing the new Honor Mode (only 1 save and if your party dies... save is deleted).
We decided not to use companions and have been just killing them or dismissing them when we encounter them. Well, we killed Gale and 20 hours of gameplay later on our third long rest the fucker exploded. Things were going so well too. Fucking Gale. |

Man this is the best game I'm played in a LONG time. I haven't been sucked in by anything like this in ages.

Man, Laezel is one thirsty lizard.
I can't get over how many branches, options, and deeply involved quests there are. I'm a terrible save scummer too |

I was saving often mainly because the game was crashing pretty consistently. Didn't want to lose my progress or have to redo everything. Seems like this past hotfix it's been pretty stable so far. No crashes.

Just finished everything I can do before hitting the mountain pass to get to the forge. Before going any further I’m thinking of trying out another build. Right now I’m using a berserker barbarian with Shadowheart, Gale and Lae’zel.
Thinking about starting a Paladin run through act 1 before moving to act 2. Anyone who has run a Paladin not like it? |

View Quote Paladin is super fucking fun man. Both vengeance and oathbreaker. Some other things I've done that are really fun that I would recommend trying out: Respec Laezel to an open hand monk. I didn't think I'd like it, but I do. Respec Shart to a light Cleric, ridiculously fun and powerful. Pair those two up with a Paladin and a caster or a Barbarian and you're unstoppable. |

Thinking of a War Cleric for my next run. Anyone tried that class yet? Did Wizard 1st and I'm currently in Act 3 with a Moon Druid.

Did like you said and respecced Lazy in to an Open Hand Monk. She is brutal. Once I get through under dark I may swap Karlach back for Shadow again and respec her as well. |

At some point I might play around with multiclassing too, there's some really powerful builds you can do but for now I'm still just getting used to how this all works... |

Karlach makes a great 8 Fighter/4 Rogue multiclass. Go Battlemaster or Champion and Thief. Get all the dual wielding perks and have her dual wield two martial weapons. You've got all your thief utility plus a character who is much better at combat.
