I'm watching BOB (again), and I'm confused. In the scene where the NCO's are getting chewed out for basically committing mutiny, the Colonel dismisses one man and busts another to Private. I cannot attach their faces to anyone prior to that scene, and I don't understand why those two were singled out.

Would someone please clarify for me?

I'm sure there will be more questions as the movie progresses. I'm doing a marathon while I rebuild my GHB.

Thanks!

Can't cut the characters you know.

I also get a kick out of the guy trying to stuff a clip into an M1 backwards.

I think that the Sargent that was removed from the unit was senior to the others, and was thought to be responsible for their actions.

I don't know about the one that was busted to Private.

I think that those were the senior SGTs in the unit so their punishment was harsher.

I understand that. What I don't get is if they were the senior ones, how can they have been so "hidden" until that point?

I'm convinced I'm missing something simple.

They may have been senior just not major characters.  One got transferred out the unit so I am just guessing that they weren't big in the story line that why you really don't hear about them.
