I was helping my buddy install a new PRI flip up front sight on a 14.5 inch barrel that was pinned and welded, in the process of removing the flash hider the threads on the end of the barrel were damaged. after installing the new front sight i tried installing the new Flash hider but it was not possible without putting some extreme torque on the flash hider. I told him about it and said i did not think we should install it until after fixing the threading issue, he went ahead and installed it anyway and it took some considerable force to get the thing on we pinned it back and used silver solder to finish up the job.
My question is how is this going to affect the accuracy of his rifle? part of my argument against installing the flash hider was that it could make the barrel inaccurate what do you guys think? |

Replace any buggered up parts with new. That's what I do, and I don't have to worry about range accidents. yeah that was my stance on it but he said it wouldn't matter i thought it was a stupid thing to do but he wanted to get it done its pinned and welded back already. |
