Who online has the best pricing for them or am I better off going to a Cop Shop or heaven forbid.....the SF magnet they call Army/Navy Surplus stores? I've always loved my bates. I wore the "seal" model (that's what they call it). they only last a year, but I usually only pay about $80. danners are better boots, as someone said, but they're twice the weight. if you have the ability to swap out boots every year and do a lot of running in them, the bates win hands down. |

I kept my Bates 918 from when I washed out of pre-BUD/s. They are rotten now but sentimental to me. I loved those. Hade a few pair while onboard ship. |
