I have seen them flying around here a lot this summer.  Not quite as neat looking as the P2V (P-3's predecessor), which was practically a WW2 warbird (it entered service in 1947):

So many to pick from:

E-3 (Boeing 707) will always be my favorite.

Notables:
F-104, SR-71, F-15C, T-38, F-14, B-1, P-51D, B-17F, DC-3, F-22

I think we've done this before, but it's been some time.

Always loved the F5,

Also loved the F20 when it was designed, but too bad it never made it into production.

So many planes to make the list, F4U Corsair, P51-D Mustang, even the old PBY Catalina.  I know the F-14 made it big from Top Gun, which we should see #2 this December, I think.  The F-16 (Corrected due to input from following posts) from Iron Eagle, which is being touted in Cobra Kai again.  The A6 Intruder from Flight of the Intruder.

What were the planes of your youth?  Bonus for pics.

A buddy of mine's dad was a high muckety-muck at Northrup during the Reagan years. He gave my an F-20 coffee mug that I still use to this day.

A face only a mother could find beautiful. Unless you worked on them.

Since third grade, I've had a weakness for the cute neighbor girl and the missle that Kelly Johnson put wings on so the pilots wouldn't be scared.

I am a pilot of bug smashers and would crawl across broken glass or admit to having info that could lead to the conviction of Hillary to fly a 104... But it has to be one of the ugliest aircraft of the last 70 years.

So many beautiful aircraft.  Far too many to list.

That said, the P51-D sits on top.  A pilot’s airplane.

Another fun one, the A-10

And one I almost forgot about, but used to get to see all the time...

Most beautiful plane to me because it brought my brother back from a mission over Laos with one engine shot out.

I met Bill Falck at a gas station and "Rivets" was on a trailer. I year or two later I watched him almost lap the field at the final Cape May air race.
