Are they worth the money? The thumb loop straight bladed Mini Griptillian has piqued my interest. How do they sharpen? Benchmade will sharpen your knife free for life. Just drop it in the mail and get it back in 2-3 weeks. They'll even replace broken blades at a reasonable cost. |

I've carried the Griptillian (x2) for years without a problem. They're very good knives, and the one handed open and close comes in handy often.
I recently "upgraded" to some of Benchmade's auto knives and find them to be not worth the asking price; especially the Infidel. |

Bencmade is the only brand I carry. They make solid knives--I have a 943 and custom Grip. They're great for cutting critters open. http://i.imgur.com/8aguCni.jpg |

Benchmade are awesome knives. There are TONS of other great knife companies out there but it is almost impossible to go wrong with a Benchmade. The Griptilian is a damn good knife.
I have an S30V Doug Ritter Mini-Griptilian and I often carry it more than my more expensive EDC knives. I have a D2 steel Benchmade that I love and now I see I can make a custom MiniGrip on Benchmade's site and I just might have one made in D2 as it holds an edge forever (although a pain to sharpen). |

That's a big crawfish |

I'm used to a liner lock. Easy one hand open and close. Usually carry a SOG or CRKT. When I was browsing knives at a local shop, I didn't really care for the Axis lock on the Benchmades.
As for free sharpening, what good is that? A knife in the mail is a useless knife.

| Between my CZ 75 PCR and my Benchmade Osborne 943 my life has become boring; I don't look anymore because I have exactly what I need. Both are everything I could ask for in the way of form and function in the tools they provide. I find the Benchmade Axis lock design to be very fast to open and close with one hand and quite durable. Texas recently legalized switchblade knives but I can't imagine one that would serve my purposes better than the Axis Lock I already have. |

Their customer service rivals the best I've ever had.
They replaced a part for me on a knife that they didn't originally make but took over the company years later. They didn't charge me a dime. Seriously, they replaced a part that I lost on a knife that they never made, for free. |

I have 3, get one. get S30V steel if it is an option. I was looking at the Benchmades but I ended up getting a steal on a Kershaw with the s30V steel blade. I really wanted the benchmade but they are so expensive for something I;m going to beat the fuck out of |

I had 2 705's. They don't make them anymore. One had a blade a little off center. I lost it in the woods near a deerstand. Never could find it. Luckily I follow the 2 is one and one is none plan. I now have none. The other one is around here somewhere but I'll be darned if I can find it. I'll find it someday but until I do i got a mini grip with the hole, it's like a benchco. Or spydermade? Anyway, I like it. The sheepsfoot isn't my favorite profile but it's pretty good. The only problem I've had with benchmades are lint getting into the springs. I don't use them in the yard or for dirty chores for that reason. |
