Hotdog thread got me hungry. What tier one chili do you slather your hotdog with. Mustard ketchup purists need not apply. Preferably easy to aquire for the starving GD masses :D

Coney Island. It's not "chili" but is good on dogs and fries. I only eat that a couple times a year.

Castleberry. Tony Packo's would be 2nd for me. Both should be enhanced with fresh onions and grated cheddar cheese. Top with hot mustard.

If I am going to pick it up and eat it, then I basically do hamburger meat with your typical chili seasoning, onion, garlic, poblano and a little liquid to bring it all together (I normally go with a mix of tomato sauce/beer/beef stock). Kraft singles inside the hotdog bun and finish with a little green onion and yellow mustard. Yes, Varsity chili cheese hotdogs (and burgers) are the best. They get a little ketchup and cayenne. Onion rings on the side (with ketchup and cayenne to dip) in before "muh TeXaS ChIlI" |

Hormel but run an immersion blender in it before using on dogs. Makes the whole experience a little more magical.

^Not a bad idea actually.
Probably works with a lot of chili too. |

It's sold in Meijer and some Krogers in the canned meat section. Small Blue Can. Beef heart and Liver, has to be in the sauce, or it's not "Coney sauce". |

Eta This is the best hotdog chili available in E.TN. It is sold at Kroger. This is good also. Attached File |

View Quote This is a use case where chili with beans (yes, oxymoronic term and possibly evil incarnate but get over it for the moment) really works. The beans help to thicken the sauce even more when blended which gives the whole thing a fantastic texture. I've darned near ruined an asshole with Hormel chili, Hebrew National dogs and the shittiest white buns I could get my hands on. |

should NOT have beans
should have sausage & hamburger for meat, onions, peppers and tomatoes and more chopped raw onions & cheese |
|
any canned chili is fine for boiled links of processed pig lips and assholes

What's the stuff I bought in PA?
Poulous hot dog sauce or something like that? Came in a ketchup bottle, just add beef. Not bad stuff. |
