That worked so well for him didn't it...Maybe he is used to doing that at home with his wife or something...Notice he didn't ruffle her feathers not once?!! |

He's known for doing that. The astute moderator would have the sound crew working the sound board and turning off the mic while the other debater is speaking. That said, the proximity of Biden and Palin on that bare-floored stage would still mean that his heavy sighing or huffing would carry across the floor to her. I still believe that Ifill did a good job. For a couple days we had been set up to believe that it was going to be a Katie Couric-type event. This didn't happen. Ifill was gracious, professional, even-handed and balanced in my opinion. And I'm no fan of public broadcasting type journalists.
