I would like a compact quality without breaking the bank pair of binockalers for hunting and such . I got a decent pair of 10x40 bushnells but they are too big for my needs , what you got ?

I bought a pair of Leupold Mojave 10x42 binos three or four years ago. I love them!

They're clear enough I can make out .30 cal bullet holes on the 100 yard line and bullets splashes on steel out to 300 yds. .22 caliber holes are just a touch small unless the lighting is perfect. I think they run about $350 at Cabela's so you be able to pick them up for a touch less with smart shopping.

Btw, Vortex and Nikon have comparable models that really made the final choosing difficult.
