Anyone know of a solution for keeping birds away(besides a BB gun)?

Can't seem to keep them from pooping all over my kid's trampoline....power washing every Saturday is getting old.

Suggestions?

One of those raptor windsocks.

Also they sell mesh screens to surround it, my neighbor had one.

Depending on the species, birds will get use to and ignore most all mechnical devices.  That includes plastic owls/hawks, cannons, etc.  They work in the short term, but they're a waster of money in the long term.  You'll find better long term success by making the enviorment unattractive to the birds.  Trim the branches, cut the tree, something like that.  Or as others have said, moving/covering the tramp.

anyways, simple solution would be to just move the trampoline i you have the room to.  you could also kill off the lil bastards

I use this shit at my rental properties:

It's like a tube of caulk.. it's clear.. spread it where the birds are hanging out.. they don't like the way it feels on their feet and it kicks ass.

Find it at home depot or ace hardware.

Figure out where the birds are sitting most of the time and spread it over that area (even if it's in a tree).

Thanks for the ideas...

To clarify, although there are many trees that line my property, the trampoline does not sit under them.  The birds just hang out on top of the safety net.

Maybe I'll try to fashion some sort of cover for the jump surface and remove it before use, but thats gonna get old quick.

Btw, that bird cannon is pretty awesome.

An owl scarecrow figurine might work.  Check your local Lowe's or Home Depot.

The pinwheels that kids used, which are wind driven might be cheaper, install a number of them with zipties around the perimeter of the top may do the trick.
