I keep experiencing lost data on my desktop when I synch my Blackberry.  Specifically, I'm finding that the Blackberry Desktop keeps deleting large amounts of past MS Outlook calendar entries.  How do I keep my BB Desktop from deleting all my old appointments?

Thanks in advance.

There is an option in the Desktop Manager calendar sync settings that allows you to specify how far back to retain calendar entries. I believe the default is 180 days.. Anything past that is deleted..... Look under Synchronize>Configure>Calendar>Advanced Options (or thereabouts as I'm going from memory............

Thanks.  I was unable to find what you were referring to following the steps you mentioned.  Here's as far as I got...

There are no options to set how far back to keep entries.

But there's still a problem with what you suggested.  While I may only want to keep items on my BB as far as 6 months or maybe a year, I don't want anything ever deleted from my MS Outlook Desktop.  So how do I keep my entire history on MS Outlook from being deleted by my BB while only keeping the BB current within the last 6 months (or so)?

Unfortunately, my Blackberry has to be connected in order to bring up the configure menu in Desktop Manager and I don't have the usb cable with me. Somebody else should chime in with exactly how its done, or I'll update the post when I get home...
