Perhaps the ArfCom gods can help out with some information. I have a Dupont No.3 blasting machine. I've been through thirty seven pages of Google results without finding the info I desire.
My machine is a No. 3, which I have found examples of, but mine has the designation G.M. after the three. Mine is the only example I can find with this designation. I saw a reference to a "Government" No. 3 approved in 1917, but with no pics. Anybody know anything about them? "Scuse the pics, in a hurry and poor light.

Word of advice: Don't try to take it on a plane in your carry-on luggage.  There is a small collector's market for such items. Google "Antique mining collectibles". What specific information are you looking for? Incidentally, I just Googled for "DuPont no. 3 blasting machine" and one of the hits I got was this very topic!  CJ |

CJ Tried that. That's how I found a reference to a "Government Approval" from 1917. |
