Nothing special or out of the ordinary though...

Dear Mr. Bloomberg,

I find your passion for gun control sickening and appaling to the law abiding citizens of this country.
If safety is your priority for your constituents, I suggest you calm down on gun control, and start restoring their Second Amendment rights. Just remember, you are handicapping citizens who would otherwise be compelled and able to defend an invasion in your terrorist-targeted city that the military and police force may not be able to quickly respond to.

Thank You and Respectively,
Chimpy

Dear Mr. Chimpy:

Thank you for your recent letter. Every day, illegal guns flood into New York City from neighboring states with less restrictive gun laws. These guns inevitably fall into the hands of drug dealers and other dangerous criminals, endangering the safety of our City’s children, police officers, and law-abiding citizens.

While my administration respects the Second Amendment, we do not believe that it protects gun manufacturers and dealers from taking the simple steps necessary to stop these illegal guns from entering our City. We will continue to fight in federal court to require the gun industry to act responsibly and to urge Congress to implement national legislation to end our City’s supply of these illegal weapons.

I appreciate your contacting me about this important issue.

Sincerely,
Michael R. Bloomberg
Mayor

Totally missed my point completely, oh well, I'll be more concise next time.

What crawled up Bloomberg's ass?  Why is a mayor leaving his city and calling for more federal gun control.  Gulliani never did this.

Follow my instructions instead of writing another letter to Bloomy.

1) Open door
2) Put head in open door
3) Slam door on head
4) Repeat as necessary for desired effect.

Uh, sir..... your city is subject to the 2nd amendment. Did you know that?

So your "problem", which stems from your own inablity to be tough on crime, now should be enforced nation wide.  "While my administration respects the Second Amendment...."  Please dont' insult my intelligence.

Simply say "Your firearms legislation violates the second ammendment, please keep such unconstitutional legislation regulated to only your own city instead of infringing on lawful manufacturers right to sell their products to law abiding citizens."

or

"You have banned guns in your own city, and you have seen the flawed results, stop trying to force the same fate on others."

or

"Mr Bloomberg, You have no respect for the 2nd Ammendment rights of your constituents, and now you are trying to repeal these rights for your countrymen."

or

"Mr. Bloomshit (sp) I have reason to fear for law enforcement officers should you get your way. Confiscation of of weapons will be met with force by some fringe groups, and I fear for the safety of the officers that you may send to their deaths for you political gain.  Think of the LEO's, think of their families, please don't leave children fatherless because of your own personal agenda. Please, think of the children."

Bloomberg has spent an estimated 200+ million dollars of his own money on his election/re-election campaigns to advance his personal anti-gun agenda. He is also making large contributions to the Republican Party so he can advance his agenda at the national level. He has no interest in hearing your opinion on the subject nor does he care what the facts are.

So, dickhead, firearms manufacturers and importers having to have a LICENSE FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT to make or import firearms isn't enough?

That they can only sell to distributors that have a LICENSE FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT still isn't enough?

That those distributors can only sell to dealers that HAVE A LICENSE FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT to sell firearms still not enough?

That those dealers can only sell to law abiding citizens that PASS A FEDERAL LEVEL BACKGROUND CHECK PROVING THEY ARE NOT CRIMINALS isn't enough?

Yeah.  The industry isn't controlled.  Wholly irresponsible.

Mr Bloomberg,

While my administration respects the 1st Amendment, we do not believe it gives asshats like you license to go forth spewing your inflammatory rhetoric.

Well, not to disagree with the ever correct membership here...

But I feel safer walking down a street in Manhattan after dark than I do in most gun friendly large cities, presuming I am not CCW at the time.

NYC does do a bang up effort in the realm of street level law enforcement.

Please, do not confuse a socialist anti-gun agenda with "law enforcement", like the good mayor has.
