I thought I would query professionals with my interest. I am curious as to what covert, lightweight body armor is available for civilians to purchase. If someone would point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.

Then, if the state doesn't prohibit it, then check bulletproofme.com.

I live in Washington, and from what I've read, there are no laws prohibiting the purchase and use of body armor for civilians. Thank you for the the website reference. I will look into it.

From what I recall the only restriction is its illegal for you to wear body armor during the commission of a felony.
