Hi All!
Been out of the fitness regimine for about ten years.
I have recently begun working out again 3 times a week to gain mass as well as tone.
I am looking good as far as tone goes but needing additional nutrition to build muscle.
The majority of my activities are basic with a arobic element to them as well.
I have trouble due to schedule etc eating enough to build the muscle so am considering powders etc...
What is the Ar15 body builders hive mind recomend for a powdered supplement to mix with milk or juice etc?
I am looking for quality products here.
Thanks!

Get some whey protein isolate and mix it into some water or skim milk.  I would also suggest moving this to the fitness forum for better responses.  There is some good knowledge over there.

I have always had good luck with the EAS line of products. You are going to want to get enough protein intake.

You could either do that by preparing your meals the night prior and taking about 2-3 meals with you for work. ( small meals)

They should include some sort of fish or poultry products. If that is to much of a hassel try to drink a couple protein shakes

instead of a meal.

+1 on all accounts.

As far as protein, I get a discount from www.allthewhey.com since I place very large orders at once. It is much, much cheaper than doing it any other way.

There is a post workout drink from Universal called Torrent.  It isn't thick like a shake but it still has everything you need after a hard workout including carbs, protien, and creatine.  The people on bodybuilding.com forums give it great reviews.  I've been using it and like it.  It goes down smooth and brings you back to feeling solid pretty quick.

Whey protein-1 gram for every pound of body weight every 24 hours.

Creatine

500 mg L-Carnatine

Milk

Fish/chicken/lean beef

Peanutbutter

No extra sugar.

I've used these. In the last 12 months I've lost 4 pant sizes and put 90 pounds on my bench press.

Isopure Zero Carb, Cookies and Cream is awesome!  Mixes easily with spoon in water.
A bit expensive, but I love it and it works for me.

Make sure you have a good intense work out, 8 hours of sleep a night, and generally 2 days of rest between maajor workouts on a muscle. 4-6 meals a day is good, the more the better. Make sure to eat before bed, a good mix of "fast" and "slow" absorbing proteins would be ideal. Make sure to get in a meal quickly post workout!   Don't accidentally undercarb, avoid high-sodium foods, and don't skip the cardio if you're super serious. Oh and don't forget a good multi-vitamin

As for powders - supposedly the ones that work are plain old creatine, NOxplode, and protein. A lot of the other stuff isn't too necessary, and guys will use bro-science to try to prove to you why you need it. You can go plenty far with plain old protein. Don't buy junk- but you don't truly need a super premium protein either.  A lot of guys recommend optimum nutrition for their protein, I think I'd go that route - other guys here will recommend quality brands, they're great too. As long as you have solid workouts, good diet, good rest, and a good protein, you should have good results too.  Think positive, keep going.

I'm not an expert, but I'm not a nitwit
