Reminds me of a story. I chatted with a swat guy a while back. Some real piece of man towered over me. Real good cop. I asked by curiosity if he’s scared about dogs or what he thought about guard dogs. His reply was nobody in our service is afraid of dogs, especially when we go in full dressed with armor and all. The dog doesn’t like a beast 4-5 times his size shouting and even 6-7 of us. Intincts kicks in and they run, just sway your knee a little bit to let them pass outside. Size matters.

Totally Justified Shooting. Dog nips cop in defense of him going hands on with his master. Any others be damned as collateral damage in the act of discharging your weapon twice rapidly in close proximity to a small child his parents in a densely populated neighborhood.

She slapped him once, and it was on camera, so she got taken. 0 tolerance policy. I drove down, tried to bail her out, and they said she had to wait to appear. Not saying her arrest wasnt justified, but it was minor. That weekend was a total shitshow from the start. |

I watched it and every choice he made was bad. He had absolutely zero control over anything from the second he got out of his car and rushed over to the people and dog. While they didn't show the entrance wound, he should have realized it was a lung shot [his ''did I shoot her?" like someone else must have was....ehhh, not the right thing to say] between the blood from her mouth and her breathing. Poor kid had to pick the dog up in the incident.
That ''OMG I'm going to prison'' isn't going to look great when played back, more worried about himself then the woman he just shot isn't what a jury [if it ever gets to that] is going to want to hear. |

1. Don't fight in the street in front of your son with your husband like some sort of trash.
2. Don't continue to be such trash that you continue to fight when a cop walks up. 3. Don't be so ridiculously irresponsible that you decide to shoot dogs when you are surrounded by fighting trashy people and you are armed with pepper spray which is the appropriate weapon for the dog and the fighting trashy people. Who started this bullshit of shooting dogs at the first sign of trouble? I am not saying that shooting dogs is never inappropriate, but it's almost never appropriate. |

Yeah, I didn't realize it was that old but if the dog went after him, hell, it wasn't some cujo dog and a kick or two would have been enough. [and yes, I've been attacked by dogs before including a police dog, that dog ate a can + of Halt, it had a orange head when I was done. PD got their ass chewed by my boss who could quote Mi state dog laws verbatim. [dog was chained to dog house which was not secured to the ground and he wasn't having any issues dragging it after him, after that they mandated kennels if the dog was outside] |
