Play all the politics you want but that is one old enemy that any honest soldier would honor with a hand shake and a drink.

I saw this pic on 4chan of all places.  A Laumer Bolo story that once attracted dust to my eyes snapped into my head and the dust attacked my eyes all over again.

IIRC, it's about an old soldier, they found his old tank, and they are finally reunited.

"This is so touching: an old WW2 Russian tank army veteran has finally
found his own tank on which he passed through all the war standing in
small Russian town as a monument and got emotionally shocked that people
worried his heart won’t be able to cope with this."
