I've got the opertunity to have a few stickers made as a freebie.
Does anyone have a good quality bolt face logo pic that they could post here please. I assume there's no copyright ...

IANAL, but if he is in the U.K., not sure if the copyright applies, unless international.
In any event, they are so inexpensive, buy a few from the arf store, and use the freebies for something else edit: UK and USA are signatories to at least three of the international copyright treaties, so you are out of luck, legally speaking. http://www.copyright.gov/circs/circ38a.pdf |

Cheers Taffy I'd like to go through the correct chanels even if it is easy just to snag the images from this site. |

You better ask permission first... You will get the ban hammer and a possible lawsuit. Send a message to GoatBoy and ask. Yeah, he's gonna do that, he just wanted to know who to ask: Quoted:

My friend was dating a girl in the UK and having a business send something over is a hassle. He'd get it delivered to his house and then send it over as a gift and cut down time and xosts. |

Requirements of "fair use"
4 determinations must be passed. There is obviously a lot of grey here. 1.the purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of a commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes; 2.the nature of the copyrighted work; 3.the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole; and 4.the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work. In the US, most of your trouble would come with #4, especially since you'd be making repros... Perhaps a legal eagle here can explain it to me, but how can a near scale graphic of an unprotected item be subject to copywright? Is the color and shading scheme enough? I could see it if the bolt face was a component of a larger graphic (ah-la the Satue of Liberty in Liberty Mutual's logo), but as it stands, that's all that's there... |
