I pretty much have a passion for both boots and guns.  And in thinking about learning how to make custom boots.  Does anybody here have any experience with making boots…. mainly cowboy boots?

Or do you know of anyplace where I could learn?

I knew a guy who apprentice with an old hand in Wyo. or Montana. Never had him make me a pair of boots but they were something to behold.

Surely there would be someone in Texas to teach you.

Like any other interest, it's probably only interesting until it becomes a job. Keep it a hobby, so it will stay fun... Sorry, can't help you more on boots though..

Ohh ya.  Most of the big name brands(Tony Lama, Lucchese, etc) make their products right here in Texas.  And im sure there is someone here that could teach me... but I dont have the connections, or even know where to start looking.
