I make breakfast each weekend, usually rotating through waffle, pancakes, or French toast.  This week I decided to do French toast, but really the breakfast pic started last Thursday...

After mixing the ingredients it needs some additional attention...

A few hours later it comes out of the oven looking like this...

Sunday morning was straight forward...

Grind and brew some coffee while you're waiting...

Add some bacon and egg magic and you have a meal...

You knocked this one out of the park.  Great food, guns, bacon, bread, syrup, man knife and guns.  Yes I said guns twice.

I am going to give you an extra 2 points for having a man plate. No pink or flowers like the lunch pic yesterday. If you break it you throw it out or use it for target practice.

I hate that Horizon "vit enriched" milk tastes like fish
Other than that everything looks tasty...well except for those hormone-antibiotic injected eggs...go for farm fresh if you got chicken raisers near by...imo

It's nice but about 6 months ago it started grinding a lesser amount of beans in one pass and I had to up the setting.  It still grinds the beans fine otherwise.  I think I've had it 4 years now so its running strong I guess.

Still on the original burr?  Still consistent grind after 4 years?

Yeah, homemade bread for French toast kills it.

And a breakfast pic that actually has coffee in it,

Great pics, great looking food!

And a clean house?

Nailed it!

Real men use a bread machine because that time is better spent in the man cave, out exercising, refining shooting skills at the range, or hoarding ammo.

Respectable and setting is correct, but you really cheated yourself on the bacon.  Add a few minutes to a run or bike ride and eat a couple more slices.  You deserve it.

I'm a big homemade bread guy, so you win there, but again cheat yourself with the absence of a quality syrup.

Going with a 9/10.

Edited for the maple syrup revelation.  Only 1 point deducted for short supply of bacon.  Don't let it happen again.

The recipe I use calls for vanilla, I could try almond extract or even rum.

I do add a bit of pumpkin pie spice while cooking it.

Seriously, toss in a little disaronno or whatever amaretto you have access too. It doesn't stay as strong of a flavor as rum usually does and adds just a little something extra to it.

No alcohol in the coffee either.  I don't like much in my coffee and I have the whole day to drink.

Almond extract in the egg wash literally blows people's minds. Pumpkin Pie spice is good. I usually stir some Saigon Cinnamon into my eggwash.

Amaretto, Frangelico or Baileys are also great 'kick it up a notch' additions.

Last time in made french toast I used some Bailey's Toffee Almond coffee creamer instead of milk. It was snazzy as hell!
