I would get a COC violation for saying what id do to the doctors if that was my child.

Wow.

We won't have 'Death Panels' here though.  They are going to call it a panel to determine and establish 'Best Practices'.

We'll see how much they like Obama care when every NICU in the country is only allowed one ECMO bed and their crack babies paychecks are getting thrown in the gutter.

Does a dupe count if the thread being duped is locked?

pfft nine months of gestion is waaaaay overrated..

bet we could crank out plenty of sick, weak babies that require a lifetime of expensive, specialized care if we started making 6 weeks the new '9 months'.....

call your reps.

Alot of people point to infant mortality as a proxy of heathcare in a country (e.g. we need socialized medicine cause other countries with socialize medicine have better infant mortality rates).

This is one example that those numbers can be skewed.

Excellent point!  You have to wonder now how many preemie live births in other countries are categorized as miscarriages.

Alot. Most follow the WHO guidelines for defining live births, but like seen in the article, the country categorize it as a fetus or stillborn if the infant doesn't reach a certain gestational age or weight, or doesn't live for a certain time period following delivery (I have read 24 hours is common)

In the US, if the kid is born alive, and dies 10 seconds later its counted as an infant mortality.

I wrote my usual long winded crap but wiped it out. Simply put, the pricks should be taken outside and shot like a dog.

If a doctor didn't save your child because you didn't have money or insurance, would you do the same thing?  If insurance denied your child life-saving care, would you also committ violence against the insurance company, or would you just not buy from that insurance company again?

That's medical malpractice here in the USA.  Life-saving, emergency procedures cannot be withheld because of cost.  But you know that, as it was pointed out to you in the other thread you were trolling with that same bullshit.

The British also don't have guns that might be, hypothetically of course, pointed in a menacing manner at the obstinate doctor's head.  He might then, hypothetically of course, decide that conception had occured a few days earlier.

On a related note, this child was allegedly born two days before the doctor was obligated to help him?  How does this doctor think that the conception time could be narrowed down so precisely? What BS.

ETA:  I know we have our problems, but how did GB go so wrong.  Just an example of how losing one freedom can mean you lose them all.
