I need to do a failure analysis project for school. Does anyone out there have any cool broken gun stuff that I can use? I'd like it to be metal. It could have failed from misuse or just from wear. Things that I think would be cool would be a KB'd slide, broken mounts, etc. I'll do a full failure analysis report on the item and then give you a copy. This will include some cool metallography.

I'm sure someone has a broken ARMS mount they could send in. Larue might even be able to help you out.  Yeah, I thought about that, but most of those would have broken levers and I'd prefer something a where the failure was a little "bigger". And when I said failed by misuse, I didnt mean someone taking a hammer to it
