Yesterday, there was a Bud delivery driver at the bar while I was getting lunch talking about the mess. She said she's been there for a long time, and leading up to Memorial day is always nuts with shortages and an emptied out warehouse, but this year the drivers are all bored and and the warehouse is stacked with product because nothing is moving. A friend of mine used to be a driver there, he had to work seriously long hours during this season, this chick was off by noon... And got a Coors light. Which is really saying something because her "gender" isn't obvious.

Nolte: Bud Light Sales Continue to Collapse for the CNN of Beers Instagram/Dylan MulvaneyGoogle John Nolte17 May 2023 Nationwide sales of Bud Light crashed 23.3 percent during the week of April 29 compared to the same week last year. The previous week’s sales had declined 23.6 percent. Anheuser-Bush is facing something MUCH worse than a boycott (more on this below), and it’s affecting the beleaguered company’s other brands. Budweiser is down 9.7 percent, Michelob Ultra’s down 2.9 percent, and Natural Light is down 2.5 percent. Those numbers have improved slightly over the previous week. Bump Williams, chief executive of Bump Williams Consulting, the outfit that tracks these numbers, told the New York Post: “This seems to be where the brand’s weekly declines have started to settle, falling in that -20% range over the past few weeks.” To understand how big of a revenue decline that 23.3 percent drop is, last year’s sales of Bud Light hit $4.8 billion. Lop 23 percent off that $4.8 billion, and you’re looking at a billion-dollar—with a “B”—loss. Meanwhile… During that same week, Pabst Blue Ribbon sales jumped 21.6 percent, and Miller High Life gained 10.4 percent. All of this relates back to Transheuser-Busch’s stupid decision to do business with the transvestite Dylan Mulvaney, a guy who puts on a dress and prances around like an astonished reindeer mocking women. Bud Light’s left-wing executives have sparked a broad consumer rejection of their Bud Light beer by hiring Dylan Mulvaney, a salesman who pretends to be a giddy “transgender” girl, several biz executives told media outlets. https://t.co/Y1sTI1d2wV — Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) April 12, 2023 According to “experts,” Transheuser-Busch will try to solve its problem in two ways… First, there will be the Lipstick on a Pig Strategy with a redesign of the can. Good luck with that. Second will be the Condescending to Red America with Stereotypes Strategy that could look like this: “investing heavily in sports marketing, and incorporating the US military and country and western music, farmers, law enforcement, and first responders into their advertising.” How about some T&A? How about some babes in string bikinis? Just an idea. Of course, the Condescending to Red America with Stereotypes Strategy already blew up in Bud’s face once already. But, hey, I’m no expert. The second time might work. Sarcasm aside, the problem here is likely irreversible. Bud Light, which had been the top beer brand in the country, is now the CNN of beers. Like CNN, Bud Light is brand-damaged. It has become a joke, a punchline, and a way for normal people to bond, find, and then commiserate with one another over our cancerous culture. “THEY’RE IN TROUBLE”: Video Shows NO ONE at Bud Light Stand at Red Sox Game Credit: @luistejadabostonrealtor/LIFESTYLOGY /TMX What I mean is this… For years now, the easiest way to bond with a group of strangers in a waiting room was to say something sarcastic about CNN. For example, if the waiting room TV is tuned to HGTV, you can win an easy laugh by saying, At least they’re not making us watch CNN. I’ve done this. The effect is immediate. Everyone rolls their eyes and loosens up. Conversations and bonding follow. Imagine all the Bud Light jokes fired off in bars and backyard barbecues throughout our great country. Now imagine how these jokes help normal people find each other by discovering they are not alone in their disgust at Big Businesses’ demonic quest to normalize what is either a mental illness or sexual fetish. One thing the dominant culture is still pretty good at is making normal people feel outnumbered. That’s what’s so great about the implosion of CNN and Bud Light. Those brands have become like the fish symbol ancient Christians used to find one another. It’s hard to see how Bud Light overcomes this. Like CNN, the beer company made a potentially fatal mistake moving to the far left. Once you do that, there’s no coming back. You lose normal customers. Worse still, the left destroys you when you try to win those normal customers back. This happened to CNN last week with Donald Trump’s town hall. The left is already threatening Transheuser-Busch. https://nypost.com/2023/05/17/bud-light-mocked-for-20-rebate-on-19-98-case-of-beer/ Bud Light mocked for $20 rebate on $19.98 case of beer: ‘They’re giving it away’ By Ariel Zilber May 17, 2023 4:41pm Updated A Bud Light seller apparently stuck with too many cases of the unsold brew in the wake of the company’s Dylan Mulvaney fiasco is offering $20 rebates on purchases of a $19.98 case of beer. A photo posted to social media shows stacks of 24-can cases of Bud Light with a promo taped to them touting a full rebate from the unidentified beer vendor “Things can’t be going great if they’re basically giving it away,” Twitter user Ed Latimore wrote. “You’re making two cents profit per case when you buy Bud Light,” another Twitter user observed. “And there’s still plenty on the shelf. They can’t even give people money to take it off their hands!” Sales of Bud Light, the nation’s perennial top-selling beer, have tanked following calls for a boycott of the Anheuser-Busch brand in the wake of its controversial partnership with the transgender influencer on April 1. Nationwide retail sales of the brand were down 23.6% versus a year ago in the week ending May 6 — its fifth straight week of declines, according to Bump Williams Consulting and NielsenIQ data. I've been sober for almost a decade, so I'm not sure on this, but ain't a case like $20 most places? Things can't be going great if they're basically giving it away… pic.twitter.com/aeCgHjlnEe — Ed Latimore (@EdLatimore) May 13, 2023 The controversy appears to be taking its toll on other brands within the Anheuser-Busch empire. Those included Budweiser, down 9.7% versus an 11.4% drop a week earlier; Michelob Ultra, down 2.9% versus 4.3%; and Natural Light, down 2.5% versus 5.2% the previous week. Meanwhile, rivals like Pabst Blue Ribbon have seen sales shoot up 21.6% in the week ended May 6 — slightly more than the 18.9% spike the previous week. Another competitor, Miller High Life, gained 10.4% in sales compared to an 8.3% bump over the same time period the previous week, according to Bump Williams and NielsenIQ data. Conservatives have slammed Bud Light’s ad campaign, claiming the beer maker was pushing “gender propaganda.” Country music singer John Rich said he pulled cases of Bud Light from his Nashville bar, Travis Tritt called for a boycott and rocker Kid Rock used several Bud Light cases for target practice in a viral video. Others, like shock jock Howard Stern and podcaster Joe Rogan, have decried the conservative outrage over Mulvaney. View Quote Who had "AB will PAY people to take their beer" for may? |

In a May 9 letter shared exclusively with USA TODAY, the Human Rights Campaign informed the Bud Light maker that it has suspended its Corporate Equality Index score – a tool that scores companies on their policies for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer employees. Companies that receive a 100 score on the index’s four criteria – protections from workplace discrimination, inclusive benefits, inclusive culture inside and outside the workplace and responsible citizenship – receive a “Best Places to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality” seal of approval from the Human Rights Campaign. Anheuser-Busch, which had a score of 100, has 90 days to respond or the organization will consider docking its score, the Human Rights Campaign told the company in the letter. Anheuser-Busch did not respond to requests for comment on the Human Rights Campaign's letter but said it has an employee resource group that supports LGBTQIA+ employees. "Our ERGs are intended to be a safe space for those who identify with a given community and those who wish to be allies," the company said in an email. The trouble began last month when Mulvaney posted a video to her Instagram account promoting a Bud Light March Madness contest. The video featured a photo of a promotional Bud Light tallboy with Mulvaney's face on it. What followed was a torrent of criticism from the political right, with conservatives calling for boycotts of Bud Light and Kid Rock releasing a video in which he destroyed cases of Bud Light with an assault weapon. As sales slumped, Anheuser-Busch put two of its executives on leave and issued a statement from its CEO Brendan Whitworth: “We never intended to be part of a discussion that divides people. We are in the business of bringing people together over beer.” Do boycotts work?Bud light sales, Dylan Mulvaney's beer ad and whether boycotts actually work Whitworth’s statement prompted a backlash from the LGBTQ+ community and its allies. Eric Bloem, HRC’s senior director, programs and corporate advocacy, said Anheuser-Busch backtracking on support for the LGBTQ+ community in the face of anti-trans and hate-filled rhetoric sends the message to employees, shareholders and customers that it does not stand up for the values of diversity, equity and inclusion it espouses. Mulvaney, who was targeted by anti-trans abuse, posted about the experience on Instagram: "I think it's okay to be frustrated with someone and confused, but what I'm really struggling with is the need to dehumanize and to be cruel." “Anheuser-Busch had a key moment to really stand up and demonstrate the importance of their values of diversity, equity and inclusion and their response really fell short,” Bloem said. Openly gay in the boardroom:Why so few LGBTQ executives lead America's largest companies Bloem said Anheuser-Busch has not responded to inquiries from the Human Rights Campaign. He hopes the ultimatum from the Human Rights Campaign will jumpstart a conversation. This is not the first time the Human Rights Campaign has suspended a company’s Corporate Equality Index score. It suspended Netflix’s score in connection with that company’s handling of Dave Chappelle’s transphobic remarks in a 2021 stand-up special “The Closer.” The Bud Light incident comes at a critical moment for LGBTQ+ rights. Hundreds of bills targeting LGBTQ+ people – particularly trans people – have been introduced by Republican lawmakers in statehouses across the country, seeking to regulate what bathrooms they can use, what medical care they can receive and what sports teams they can play on. Increasingly corporations are engaging in these social debates, setting up clashes with prominent figures like Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis who went to war with Disney over its criticism of a state law limiting the instruction of sexual orientation and gender identity in public classrooms. By and large, corporations are listening to their employees and customers - and with good reason, Bloem says. An unprecedented number of Americans identify as LGBTQ+ – especially younger generations – and an even larger number support LGBTQ+ rights, making this a powerful consumer segment that no company can or should ignore, Bloem said. “As we look at those pressures on businesses, it all comes back down to understanding that the LGBTQ+ community is part of the fabric of our society,” he said. “This is not the first time a business has been tested for supporting the LGBTQ+ community. What remains true is that businesses that do stand up for the community in meaningful ways and really live up to their values of allyship succeed.” View Quote The nation's largest LGBTQ+ advocacy group is taking action against Anheuser-Busch over its handling of the conservative backlash to trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney, accusing the multinational beer company of caving to political pressure. Unless those are rebates offered at the register (not ones where you have to fill in and send in a claim form and get a check mailed back to you) most people won’t actually redeem the rebates. They’ll buy the beer with the idea that they’ll be saving all this money, but then never follow through and AB gets the sales boost and the revenue.
It’s a brilliant marketing strategy that relies on people’s tendency to forget and get distracted. First brilliant thing they’ve don in a while (assuming it’s one of those send-in ones). |

Not knowing what AMB was, I searched and found this:
https://washingtonbeerblog.com/anheuser-busch-inbev-sells-one-of-its-acquired-craft-breweries/ Nathan Kelischek and Chris Zieber founded Appalachian Mountain Brewery in 2011, a modest-sized brewery that produced just 500 barrels of beer in 2013. It quickly began to grow. In 2018, Appalachian Mountain was fully acquired by Portland-based Craft Brew Alliance (CBA), which at the time was partially owned by A-B InBev. Following the A-B InBev full acquisition of CBA in 2020, Appalachian Mountain Brewery became part of A-B InBev’s High End division. Now, Appalachian Mountain Brewery is back in the hands of its original owners. In a statement, the new/original owners said, “We will be shifting our focus immediately on growing our local team, opening our new taproom in Mills River, NC, and continuing our investment in sustainability and philanthropy efforts that make a difference in our North Carolina communities. This all hinges on producing the highest quality products and delivering a unique experience for our customers.” This story must make a lot of beer lovers in North Carolina happy. It makes me happy and I’ve never even been there. Sustainability - Solar Powered Beer? Philanthropy - Leftist Fundraising? Or, we're spitting out word salad to help us sell beer to man-buns? |

Group (one table of land whales) heckles comedian, storms out after Dylan Mulvaney joke
Mayr, who is known for irreverent and politically incorrect humor, shared video of herself poking fun at transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney at Hyena’s Comedy Nightclub over the weekend. Mulvaney was infamously featured on Bud Light cans in celebration of the activist’s "Year of Girlhood," despite being a biological male. Mayr joked about Mulvaney not having top or bottom surgery a year after transitioning. "Why has it been a year of girlhood and still no tits? That’s day one," Mayr said, going on to suggest that if she herself transitioned to becoming a man, she would get the largest male genitalia she could find. "Why no tits for Dylan? I don’t understand." Somebody from the audience interjected, "Because he’s a man!" Mayr repeated, "Because he’s a man," in agreement, but another member of the audience appeared to take offense and replied, "No! She’s a woman!" "Uh-oh," Mayr said from the stage. "We have one of those." The comedian went on to say, "No, it’s all good. We can all have different beliefs, it’s okay. Some of us can believe in reality and some of us can’t," as the majority of the audience laughed. Mayr then declared, "This is America, we should have different beliefs, it's all good." She later joked about how modern America needs labels for so many sexualities, "You’re not bisexual, you’re just fun at parties." The video she shared then zoomed in on the patrons who were offended earlier in the show, with one looking visibly uncomfortable. The video cut to a later point during the show where the table of offended patrons got up and left the show, with one yelling, "F--- you, transphobe!" "Is that the best you can do?" Mayr asked. "Oh, my God, it’s so sad. Make sure she gets home safe, I don’t want those women to get harpooned in the neck on their way to their cars," referring to the weight of the offended attendees. "There are poachers out there, they are going to want their tusks!" She later posted that the offended patrons went on a "stampede" outside. "Just FYI these ‘women’ went straight to management to complain and then proceeded to stampede (knock over) my merch table," she tweeted. "This is the conflict when it comes to comedy and Leftists. It’s just not compatible." Many comedians such as Dave Chappelle have faced public outrage and even violence for questioning transgender ideology in recent years. Mayr told Fox News Digital this small confrontation speaks volumes about the battle for comedy in modern times. "They can’t have it both ways. Leftists want to be culture makers but also want certain groups exempt from ridicule," she observed. "If you believe in true equality then there’s no such thing as ‘punching down’. No group should be ‘safe’ from being made fun of. I will keep making fat jokes and trans jokes because I enjoy it and the crowds clearly do too." She noted how while culture may restrict what people can say in polite society, people are still going to laugh at great comedy. |

Quoted: Why is it that there has not been a single mention that the backlash over this being so vehement was directly due to a tranny having just murdered a bunch of kids and old ladies three days prior? If that hadn't happened I bet we wouldn't have even heard about the stupid Mulvaney beer can thing, or if we had it would've earned an eye roll and everybody would've just moved on. View Quote There's been plenty of discussion about it. The thing is, I'm not sure it's more than tangentially related. I think the correct answer is the simplest one: Bud Light's dominant market demographic by volume (the kind of people that were drinking it by the case) is almost entirely straight dudes. Shoving Mulvaney in the face of that audience was always a terrible idea. I would also say there's a big difference between the canned lager guys and the microbrew IPA guys, and the IPA guys wouldn't have cared as much. |

The trans movement joining the boycott is even better than the original, because the message of "you can't cater to the left enough, they'll still try to cut your head off too, eventually" needs to be reinforced.

As far as I know, she hasn't even been fired yet. What kind of country do we live in where a company is unable to fire somebody (whether it be out of fear
or stupidity) who was so incompetent at their job they cost you billions of dollars and have threatened the future viability of your business? They can collapse and go bankrupt for all I care. Sorry to all of the good people that have suffered from this boondoggle, but other companies need to learn what happens when they get in bed with the mentally insane woke cult. |

Quoted: Group (one table of land whales) heckles comedian, storms out after Dylan Mulvaney joke Mayr, who is known for irreverent and politically incorrect humor, shared video of herself poking fun at transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney at Hyena’s Comedy Nightclub over the weekend. View Quote The video is hilarious ?? |

You are member of the commerce committee, i should say and you want to investigate what bud light was doing with dylan mulvaney, it destroyed a brand that may not recover. What's your focus?
>> Well listen, I can’t think of a company in modern times that has more alienated it's customer base and had seemd to have so little understanding of who it is that actually drinks bud light. But, but, this week, i sent a letter to the ceo of anheuser-busch, along with senator marsha blackburn because the ceo anheuser-busch is also the ceo or the chairman of the beer institute, which is the regulatory body, the industry regulatory body that regulates itself and one of the rules that beer companies are supposed to follow is that they are not supposed to market to kids. Remember joe the whole whole joe the camel thing, this is the same thing here. Well you know what? Dylan mulvaney, a massive percentage of dylan mulvaney's audience are kids and budweiser was trying i believe with this ill fated marketing attempt to target teenagers. If you look at things dylan mulvaney has online, it's things like "days of girlhood," uh there's another video where dylan mulvaney is singing "my name is eloise, and i am six," there's another one where dylan mulvaney is shopping for barbie dolls these are clearly things aimed at teenagers and even children younger than teeangers, which violates the rules and so we are calling on the beer institute to investigate the degree to which anheuser-busch knowingly was marketing to children in in going down this road. . |

I find it kind of funny.
America did nothing when the leftist socialists co-opted the higher ed, public schools, all the charitable foundations, turned the military over to the good idea fairies, ruined watching pro sports and NASCAR. America pushed back on the maker of shitty beer. I’ll take it but damn, could have taken their local boards of education to task decades ago. The public schools are the madrasahs of socialism. |
