| I’m looking for an inspection camera in the $150-$200 range. Are there any good ones in that price range? I just want one for working around the house. I like working on old tractors and looking to get an OBS Chevy to redo. I’ve been looking on Amazon but don’t know what ones are good |

Since you're posting in the cars forum, I assume you want to be able to use it working on cars?  I have a nice milwaukee one that's made specifically for automotive work. It has cameras angled 90 degrees apart and the tip is small enough to fit through a spark plug hole. I also have a cheap amazon one from a buy thread we had here where they were paying you like $13 plus the free camera after all the coupon and rebates and buying a review from you. The cheap amazon camera's tip is too fat to fit into a spark plug hole. When drilling a hole through sheetrock to look for a leak, my cheap camera will require bigger holes which will need patched later. The M12 one, you could basically just spackle. In the places the cheaper one does fit, it is hard to make it look back towards you. The dual cameras on the M12 one let you see things like the valves when you're coming in via the plug hole. There is also a difference in focal length. My M12 one is focused when things are closer to 1ft away. The cheap one focuses better on things that are 3-4ft away. It has come in handy while looking down a pipe for an obstruction. The cheap camera got a better picture in that case than the fancy one. I dont have a recommendation for which cheap camera to get. Just some things to look out for. |
