I have to admit I expected to see something like a Lear to have construction techniques to be a little more "high speed". I guess if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Most aircraft are still built with WWII technology. Beachcraft tried to leap ahead with Carbon Fiber, their plastic planes fly great, but they were not a commercial success. We'll heve to see how the 787 does long term. Could be a game changa. |
