How backed up are they? I ordered some parts and they haven't billed the credit card yet. How long has anyone had to wait?

Most of the those AR15 manufactureres, except for Colt are pretty much mom & pop operations. One of the reasons that Bushmaster didn't bid on military contracts was the rate of delivery was just too great for them to meet. Most of them won't build a gun, until they have an actual order in hand.

Holy shit! That's what I ordered. And that is just what I didn't want to hear.

Thanks for the info

I got a barrel from them last month after a seven week wait.  Everyone told me it'd be 12-14 weeks. Bushmaster said it was backordered and would ship asap.

That's good news! Finally!

Maybe mine will come in before summer ends since I ordered 12-1-04.

In light of 14 September 2004, they have been the sweetest waits I have had in my life.

I ordered a complete Bushmaster Superlight barrel and A2 upper assembly w/bolt & bolt carrier at the end of September 2004 (the 28th, IIRC).  I received the order sometime in the middle of January 2005.
I didn't really mind the wait that much.  What bugged me was that Bushmaster was never able during that time to give me an accurate delivery date.  It gets old hearing every two or three weeks for over three months that it will, "...be a couple of weeks".
But overall, I'm very happy with the service I've always gotten from Bushmaster.  I'd rate them as a very good company and I'll buy more stuff from them in the future.

WyattEarp(?): Mags aren't problem since they are not new production.

Coolio: It's really hard to plan that far out. You've got to line up all of your ducks before you can start assembling. Sometimes the vendors/sub-contractors has to make the various required components and all of this takes time, which makes things very unpredictable when you have many vendors.

I was too.  Then I picked up a RRA bolt/carrier from a dealer on the EE.  Got it in 2 days.

Save yourself the wait.

Took me 5 months to get a Dissapator A3 with collapsible stock and Birdcage suppressor.

It took 4 months to receive a RRA Entry, and I was told initially it would be 3-4 weeks for an Oly, but that has been changed to 8-12 weeks.  If you need something quick, EE is the quickest!I picked up a nearly new RRA A4 in 48 hours.
