Say two gunshops were in the area

Shop A had by far the cheapest price, but the owner was kind of a douche..not overtly, but they made it clear by their mannerisms you were nothing but a customer.

Shop  B was significantly more expensive, but treated you like family.

Which would you choose to do business with?

I frequently spend more at either local businesses vs big box stores or nice guys vs douchebags.

Even if the savings are significant?  As in 20-30%?

And for the sake of argument both are small local businesses.

I pay well over 30% for motors because my rep and his company are good people vs some other guy who is a dick.

So yes-even if the savings are 30%.  Maybe drop a line to the good guy and say "Hey, I love you guys-and I don't mind paying a little more but dickhead has it for $500 and you are at $600.  Can you get to $550 maybe?"
The good guy WANTS your business.  Give him a shot.
