So do you have to pay a monthly fee to get services? Do you have to have internet access in your house already and does it connect through that?

Call your cable company and tell them to FOAD

But an Amazon Fire Stick..or a Roku stick...or a Roku 3...or whatever device you want.  I prefer a standalone box (Roku 3) with a remote, but w/e.  It was like $90?  Plug it into power and hook it up to your network (either cable or Wifi) and you're done.

I went from a $160/month DirecTV bill to $8/month for Hulu after my initial investment of the Roku3.  I also bought an OTA HD antennae for like $40 to get local TV and sports that are on local stations (NFL)

If you have rabbit ears, you can use a Tablo for DVR. I don't have one, however reviews are good.
