I have a Midland CB radio installed in my truck. A couple of the wires ripped loose where they enter the 4 pin DIN (due to my hand hitting the cord while shifting), which rendered it inoperable. I had a friend of mine re-solder them for me, but I couldn't remember which one went where, so I had to make a guess. It looks as if I guessed wrong, because the radio won't transmit. The microphone will break the static whenever I key it up, but the TX symbol will not appear on the radio screen. Instead of going through the hassle of trying to fix that mic, I'm going to buy a new one. Will any Midland 4 pin microphone work with this radio?

The radio is a Midland 77-110 (good luck finding any info on it):

You may have better luck in the amateur radio forum.

Thanks. That's the one I was actually looking for, but I thought it was one in the same with this one.

Thanks. My radio model isn't listed there. I have no idea why it's so hard to find any info on it.

The midland only has two differ ways to wire the mic,

One if for the 4 prong plug, and the other is for the 5 prong plug.

Both are listed, hence 1 and 3.
