Gents,
I have a couple of CMP rifles that I've had for a number of years that I may put up for sale here soon. I noticed when perusing a couple of other ads on gunbroker that the seller had what appeared to be a copy of a CMP certificate with the original owners name blacked out. I was never really comfortable with a CMP cert with my name on it floating around anyway, so is this acceptable when selling a CMP rifle? Should I just make the buyer aware in the ad that they'll get a copy of the cert with my name blacked out? I realize these days that anyone with a printer can make up anything, but I would also think CMP provenance would be fairly easy to prove with a phone call... Thanks for any thoughts. |
