What's the normal range for CPU temperatures? EVEREST tells me my CPU goes from 35* C (on a cold startup) to 60* C (while watching DVD's). Fan that came with the original processor is running a 3140 rpm. What points should I begin to worry? I cleaned off the heatsink an processor with some Isopropyl alcohol. I had some cheap Rat Shack silicon based heat sink compound...yeah, yeah, I know, but I am still using a Socket 939 AMD DualCore 2400 Opteron...it fits my needs and is reliable. I may look to upgrade for the new Civ game, but that's another thread. |
