I've been considering putting cab lights on my '15 F150. It's all black, so I was thinking smoked would look pretty good. What's crazy, is that you just don't see people putting cab lights on half ton pickups anymore. I used to see them everywhere, but I can count on one hand the number of times I've seen cab lights on a light duty truck made in the last seven or so years. What gives?

are those cab lights gonna interfere with your 5' ultra-hi-def light bar on top the cab? or do you have that mounted on the hood?

if you ever plan on selling the truck its likely going to make it harder to sell.

I love turning the cab of a truck into a swimming pool

Cab lights on a half-ton are very very dumb.

Cab lights went the way of the 8-track player

Yep. Might as well add a bug shield, chrome molding, and blacked out headlight covers..

You could say any modification to any truck is dumb.  I think  they look good.  Got a set of GM factory ones for my Yukon, just need to install.

Throw in some truck nuts to round out the deal.

Don't do it man.

A lot of the base work truck F250's don't even get them anymore.

My F350 has them. There cool on super duty's. Half ton? Not so much.

ETA: But seriously the real purpose on "clearance lights" is on vehicles over 80" wide. The put them on bigger 1 ton trucks in case you install say a wide service bed or are towing large trailers. They serve a purpose other just looking cool.

I love cab lights....

Only on my 3/4 and larger trucks....

and only from the factory.

Aftermarket can leak, but the chances of rust would worry me more.

Don't forget the visor.

Might as well do a JC Whitney dually conversion and get a visor too

I wouldn't put them on my F150, but I did put some go recon's on my old F250. They looked great to me and I never had a leak. I used aquarium silicone to seal between them and the roof also.

Wasn't an issue for my recent sale.

My F250 came with them from the factory.  Not sure what the point is.  One has been burned out for 2 years or so and I keep forgetting to find a bulb for it.

Remember when no truck was complete until it had 200 lbs of Lund attached to it?

Both of my 3/4 ton trucks came with them. I'd rather not have them, but there wasn't even a "delete" option when ordering.
