To Post Pig Crossing Signs POSTED: 5:26 p.m. EST February 6, 2004 CARMEL, Calif. -- Monterey County in Northern California will soon get its very own "wild pig crossing" highway signs. California transit officials say there are several accidents involving pigs in that area every year, but few get reported. The new signs will be posted in the next few months. They'll show the silhouettes of a boar and a baby boar on a traditional diamond-shaped, yellow background. Other animals featured on California road warning signs are deer, cows and bears. |

A local city (Temecula) has a duck crossing sign. Australia is full of Kagaroo crossing signs - doesn't seem to help any more than the tens of thousands of deer signs scattered though our mid-west ... the dumb animals can't read! It will make hunting the little guys easier though. |
