Who do you use and are you happy with any claim results you have had? I have State Farm and have been a customer for over 20 years. I have 2 vehicles, life ins, personal property ins, and home owners. I have one vehicle that I want to get off of the ins policy, because they want to charge me 1200 a year to insure a 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer, NOT an Evolution model. Ive had the car 16 months and my wife pays this bill, so I really wasn't aware of the price... Help me out please. |

State farm was ok, they tend to be a little higher priced in my experience. They also took like 8 months to reimburse us for a guy who rear ended our car in a rental who was a Canadian. I guess it took them a long time to sort out getting the money from him? Bad communication about what was going on there - we just paid for the repairs out of pocket in the mean time, and one day a check showed up in the mail.
Your biggest savings will be to group up all your vehicles under one policy. The price to ensure one vehicle was nearly the same as the price to have a policy that covered them all. I price shop whenever my 6 month window is coming up, currently happy with progressive, used them to repair a hit and run and didn't have any issues. I still probably pay more than I should. |

Quoted: It's not state farm. It's the car. Mitsu Lancer is one of the highest cars to insure - no matter if it's evo model or not. Young people keep wrecking in them. That's what my dude said.... knowing that, I want to shop around anyway. Kinna sucks, cause I was gonna buy a 2016 too... Not now. |

You won't be able to split it out to a seperate policy (unless it were a classic/collector car) as most all auto policies require all the vehicles you own to be insured on the same policy. This protects them from having to defend you in a claim for the other vehicle/policy that they never got premium for. ETA: call an independent agent in your area, get quotes. |
