Is Progressive good? Or is there something I should know before switching?

They are generally a non-standard company but they write standard business as well.  Every company sucks at times, there are just people like me and you handling the claims and we get overworked and behind and sometimes we make decisions that not everyone is happy about.

In the insurance business, you have to get used to the fact that in general, 50% of the people you talk to will get pissed at you since someone is always at fault for an accident.

if you don't have a problem with salvage parts and cut corners they are great.

Newsflash: Everyone uses LKQ/used/Salvage parts.  Which would you prefer they use?  A) A perfectly good fender made at the factory by your vehicle manufacturer or B) an aftermarket knockoff part that is made in china or taiwan or something?  Option A is the "salvage" part.  The parts on your car are used, what makes you think you deserve new parts all of a sudden?  The parts they put on your car have to be same age, kind and quality or better than what came off the car anyway.

Eh not encouraging but the price was pretty good, and it saves me a chunk of change. I'll just (continue) to drive cafrefully.
