They released a teaser trailer for Cars 2. Supposed to be out June 24, 2011. Look forward to this one. Link
This is pretty good, Tokyo Mater

I watch Cars at least once every day. My 2 year old runs around the house yelling ightning! ightning! Plus, his bed sheets, pillows, curtains and crap are all Cars stuff. So Cars 2 would be awesome, considering I know the first just about by heart now. There's a new dvd coming out November 2nd called Mater's Tall Tales or something that I'm looking forward to too. That Tokyo Mater is one of the short movies on there. If you go to the Disney/Cars website they have a couple you can watch.
I love The Incredibles. I don't know why they haven't made a second one yet. They even leave it open at the end of the movie. |

They aren't going to touch the Incredibles, subversive conservative movie was not subversive enough. My favorite lines... (approximations) Mr. Incredible - "a third grade graduation? Yay, let's celebrate mediocrity." or Dash - "if everyone is "special" then no one is." |

They will at minimum have to have a replacement for Doc.
You know, I've seen Cars at least a dozen times, maybe more. My two year old LOVES the movie, and for a while we were watching it every day. Hell, I always thought Burt Reynolds was the voice of Doc, and didn't realize otherwise until I noticed the credits on Wikipedia! I had no idea it was Paul Newman, but you have to admit it sounds a lot like the ol' Bandit himself... |
| My scenario for Cars 2 was Lightning McQueen traveling to Europe to compete in LeMans. It could have showcased a lot of European scenery and sports cars and given Luigi and Guido a chance to meet Ferraris. I was imagining a romantic contest in which Lightning beats out some Euro-trash car for Sally's affections. Could have been a story of red-blooded American never-quit spirit vs. ... whatever Europe stands for. Imagine the Italian cars faking injuries like their World Cup players. Teutonic Audis. Pompous Jaguars. Stuff like that. |

Helen: I can't believe you don't want to go to your own son's graduation. Bob: It's not a graduation. He is moving from the 4th grade to the 5th grade. Helen: It's a ceremony! Bob: It's psychotic! They keep creating new ways to celebrate mediocrity, but if someone is genuinely exceptional... Helen: (sigh) Everyone's special Dash. Dash: Which is another way of saying no one is. This had some of the best dialogue of any of the Pixar films. |
