Sometime around 2000 or so, I picked up a used copy of a Japanese gun magazine.  It was called "Combat".  This was the May 1997 issue, 240 pages.  In it, is a B&W 6 page illustrated story of two rabbits going up against what appears to be an NVA sniper (in the form of a cat).  I don't read Japanese, but the illustrations and story looked great to me!  

Seeing these two characters now in a movie is fantastic!  Love to see more!
