I carry mine in my purse most of the time. If I'm going somewhere without my purse it goes in my pocket.

Cell phones and multi tools on the belt looks kinda dorky.
I carry both my cell and multi tool in my pokcet. It's a small multi-tool (Leatherman Juice).

On belt most of the time.
I have one pair of khaki trousers with a cell phone pocket and use that when I'm wearing those. Now that cooler weather has come in I will sometimes carry the phone in a jacket pocket.
