Not sure if anyone posted this already (I didn't see it)
By KATHY JEFCOATS The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Tuesday, December 16, 2008 The owner of a Forest Park cell phone store exchanged gunfire with two robbers Monday night, injuring one while the second got away, police said. Maj. Chris Matson said the 8 p.m. shooting by the owner of Metro PCS in the 4000 block of Jonesboro Road appears to be self-defense. No charges had been filed Tuesday morning, he said. The owner was not injured. “Right now it looks like the owner was justified but it is too early in the investigation to make an assumption of anything,” he said. “Things can look one way and then turn out to have a twist. But right now it looks justified.” Matson declined to identify the wounded suspect, who is being treated at a local hospital. The second suspect got away in a white pick-up truck. Matson said detectives are reviewing the store surveillance tape to help identify the second suspect. |

He was robbed and then shot one of the robbers, they talk about possibly charging him but never said if they plain to charge the robber. Why is it they always blame the victim for defending themselves and threaten to charge them for doing so,. To me if a robber is shot and killed (God willing) then it is an open and shut case. Some people are so stupid it makes me sick, yea the guy plain on being robbed and waited by the door to shoot them in the back. |
