Having an issue with my Audiovox 8910 (verizon service).  Shut it off last night, plugged it in to charge.  Turned it back on this morning and now a message flashes saying "Please wait, user date is being restore.....[7]".  Called verizon, they have not clue.

Any suggestions?  I alread tried removing the battery for a few minutes and putting it back on.

Software issue. Does VZW have a service tech at any of the stores in your area? We have a tech that can solve most issues.. May need to go back to mfg. When they do Audiovox most likely will replace. Ive got a program at work that replaces certain models with problems. I have sold a fair amt of the 8910 and have had zero issues with them. See if VZW has a loaner program to keep you talking, while your 8910 is repaired or replaced.

Google "Audiovox 8910" ...then cross reference it with "please wait"

Took it to verizon and they immediately gave me a new phone.  It was no longer under warranty so it must have been a known defect.  They couldn't recover my phone book, which is going to be a pain in the ass.
