Well, I have been posting on this website for awhile now as tcsd1236. Today I was called into the office; my internet screen name ( which I use all over the net, not just here) apparently became "public knowledge" to the administration through an email someone sent them. They took objection to my use of tcsd1236, as they feel its proprietary to the agency...never mind that there are all sorts of "TCSD"s throughout this country..I am constantly asked if I am a Texas Deputy, for instance...and 1236 is pretty much meaningless to anyone, as evidenced by the questions I get on it. Anyway, I have been ordered to cease and desist using tcsd1236 immediately, and still might face disciplinary action for using it...never mind that the agency initials are no longer TCSD anyway....but I digress. In searching for a new nic on such short notice, I have settled on tc556guy. I would miss being called "TC" entirely by some of you who like to hate me soooo much  ,and TC is generic enough without any LEO connection to piss off the bosses; 556 is pretty obvious to any of you on this site, and well,hey, I am a guy.Maybe its a blessing; I have a year or so left at tcsd before I could retire, and once I did that, I would have had to change it anyway. Now I have a whole year to start building my post count back up again! Sooo..other than a repost of this in the LEO section because so many folks there don't come here anymore, this is my last post here as tcsd1236. See ya soon under the new nic. Anyone know if paid status can transfer to a new nic? |

That's BS. What you do on your own time and by whatever "nick" you use is of no concern to anyone. I understand about going with flow in your occupation but I still call BS! Try the goat. Maybe he can change your name without losing everything. just let us know who you are lest we forget. |
