Changing user names! (Page 1 of 4)

Folks I'm getting a request or two every week to change screen names. There is a thread in the tech support forum regarding this.
we don't change screen names except for extenuating circumstances. Using your own name when you registered, don't like your name anymore, wanted this one but it was taken but the account has never been used, etc are not reasons. I'm not trying to be a hard ass but if we changed screen names every time someone asked..I'd be doing it all day..every day. We used to have the ability to change our screen names..then sleaze bags that ripped people off in the EE started changing theirs to con more people. That is why we can't change our own names anymore. So..unless you need your screen name changed because of legal issues (divorce, stalked) or you fat fingered the keyboard and made a typo, please don't ask. |

With the honor system of the EE it would be impossible to keep track of all the honest people AND keep track of all the ripoff artists.
