I read here frequently about vets having a hard time after discharge. Its reality. There is a program that I am using now. Its called Chapt 31 rehabiliation. If a vet has a 30% disability rating he can apply for and be accepted for rehabilitation. This means I get full tuition, books, fees, and all expenses (computer) paid to attend college full time. In addition I recieve $700 per month living allowance. I'm working full time, going to school full time via internet and have half a master's program complete. The vet is entitled to 48 months ($33,600) not including tuition ect. Get you disability. Its worth it. Alabama also provides free state college tuition to disabled vets. All  three of my kids have rec'd 48 months of tuition. I'm 54. Vietnam vet. 30%. Got in this program a year or so ago. Its my gun money. I'd rather see the current generation of warriors who really deserve it benefit.
