What is the general opinion surrounding this company?
I'm in the market for a small easily concealable and affordable protection peice for a family member and they caught my eye.
Good?
Bad?
Any personal experiences to relate?

I have a Charter Arms DAO Bulldog and IMO it's a nice 'little' gun.

I had a newer model Bulldog, which I sold last year.  It was OK for the money, especially considering there was nothing else in it's class.

There was a little play in the cylinder, but nowhere near enough to cause timing issues.  The matte stainless finish darkened a little from sweat, but not badly considering it's an inexpensive "working" gun.  There were also a few sharp edges, but nothing that couldn't be addressed yourself.

Since the closest lightweight revolvers are over $100 more, they're OK.

Carried an Undercover (5-shot) .38 for years, years ago when I was broke. No complaints whatsoever. A fine piece of machinery.

I don't have one presently, but I'm looking at this new one.

A friend of mine has one of their little .38's and she can't hit shit with it.  After playing with my Glock 19 she's decided to get one of those and carry that around.

The Charter arms guns ive seen have been priced around $330, A S&W 442/642 can be had for $60..New models may be fine but at one time they had so so reputations.
