I'm thinking about getting this cheapo pool to splash around in.
Any one have experience with this or similar pools?

If the ground underneath isn't level it's going to look like a football & leak out the side.

This. My wife talked me into getting one for the kids. You need a perfectly level base. A concrete patio would be best, because it kills the shit out of your grass. When you pull the thing up after the end of the season, the tarp smells like the bottom of a compost pit.

IMO, it's as redneck as a rebel flag bikini on a 30 year old grandmother. I couldn't stand the F'n thing.

edit;

and I'm pretty rednecky...

Keep in mind water is HEAVY.

Might not want to put it on the patio if you want to keep it (the concrete) in one piece.

Ask me how I know......

Squirrels, lamentably, do indeed sink.  I've lost a few in the creek that runs through my parents' farm

I was out fishing, and saw one swimming across the reservoir. I pulled the boat up next to it, and was tempted to net it. It crossed open water at least 175 yards wide.

Put one of those on the patio one year, took it down, the patio had a crack running the length along the underside.

Read a story somewhere where a guy set one up in the living room of his rent house.  Always wanted to try it, but never could get the SO on board.

In the long run it would be cheaper to buy a metal sided above ground pool that

stays set up year round. They usually go on sale at the end of summer. If you

can't set up something permanent, they're OK, just a bitch to keep clean. You

will be buying lots of accesories - better filter, maybe a saline setup, some sort

of vacuum, etc....

Get the one with flames on the sides. It'll look like its tearing ass around the backyard.

I saw that one. Not bad. Kind of a toss up between that and the leopard print model that you mom got to match her bathing suit.
