I received a message through the gunbroker system on one of my auctions.
REGARDING ITEM: 1468XXXXX
––- begin message ––- I am wondering why you only accept US Postal Money Orders, the most expensive ones to purchase? I have never had a problem with any money order. ––- end message ––- This is the guys last purchase of a total of 2 Date and Time 08/11/2005 07:31 AM My Response: The reason is they clear the same day they arrive.
Other money orders can be stopped and I have had 2 stopped for no reason. Postal money orders are expensive? They cost a dollar. If you buy win one of my auctions feel free to take the dollar off my end. John |
| What a cheapskate. A USPS money order is the only safe way to go on your end, and he should understand that. I think I may have told him to go pound sand, so IMHO you did pretty good. Funny how someone will go drop a buck on a BK burger they'll shit out in two hours, but bitch when it's a firearm that THEY WANT. |

That's the way some folks are. When I worked retail I had a guy ask me what the cheapest printer was we had. I showed it to him. He then asked if we had one cheaper hidden somewhere so that customers couldn't see it. ![]() My response was going to be "yes, there is sir, take a pen, put it in your right hand. Now stick your left hand index finger on the parallel port, and start writing on some paper." |
