i know we all love makers mark and knob creek,

but what is your drinkin whiskey when your not looking for the high dollar. stuff?

mine used to be JD but lately i have switched to Old Forrester. Tastes better to me and is just above rot gut

Back in 83 when my buddy was going to college we stopped by the store. We bought a 2.99 fifth that had a 3.75  rebate. Sent it off before we even cracked the seal. How could you go wrong with a deal like that?

It used to be Jack but I found that Evan Williams is nearly half the price and tastes better.  It's a good, cheap drunk if you can't afford K.C.

Had some relations over and gave the men a drink of Black Bush.

One of them really liked it and had a few more.

He called me last week, he had gone to a 'party store', Michigan's version of a store that is licensed to sell booze, beer, pop, food, and minor auto parts, in a depressed area near him and told them what he wanted. They sold him regular Bushmills, because 'its the same thing only less aged and cheaper'.

He called to tell me it wasn't the same thing.

10 Year Old
This is mesmeric stuff.  It is quite a dry bourbon, really. But there is just the right toffee presence to form the perfect balance.  This is the whiskey I ask for first when in Kentucky and in search of something with a character and class of its own.

I once made the mistake of buying Military Special "Fine Bourbon Whiskey" whiles't TDY.  The next morning it felt like that Tank on the label had driven off the bottle and over my head a couple of million times.  Just ouch.

The only whiskey I have ever drank was Jack Daniels.
It burned like hell and I decided I was not going to do that again...


I can drink the heck out of a bottle of rum though.
AND I never get a hangover from it.
